Bud serves as the Director of the Prosecutor Conduct Commission (PCC), established by the Legislature in 2025. In this role he directs the Commission’s operations, which provide a streamlined process for the reporting and investigation of prosecutorial misconduct statewide. The PCC holds confidential hearings on meritorious complaints and then discloses its findings as mandated by law.

His public service experience spans over two decades, beginning as a law enforcement officer and continuing with the practice of administrative, civil, and criminal law. Serving in urban, suburban, and rural areas of Utah, he has prosecuted in both justice and district courts and practiced in juvenile court as an Assistant Attorney General and Guardian ad Litem.
Bud enjoys living and working in rural Utah, where he spends his free time with his family and friends. He always welcomes a good hike or UTV ride, loves classic cars, and enjoys construction and woodworking.
