About Dan Strong

Dan is the Executive Director of Criminal Justice at the Utah Department of Criminal Justice. In that role, he directs both the Utah Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice and the Utah Sentencing Commission. Dan also serves as public information officer and records officer for the Department. Dan also works as staff to the Governor for judicial appointments. 

Dan previously worked for over ten years as a prosecutor at the city, state, and federal levels. Earlier in his career, Dan spent some time on the other side of the aisle as a criminal defense attorney.

Dan is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley Law School and the University of Virginia.
