About Kara Hetrick

Program Manager


Kara Hetrick grew up in Northern California and moved to Utah shortly after earning her undergraduate degree in Religious Studies and Women’s Studies from Arizona State University.  She then worked in public broadcasting in Utah doing fundraising, outreach, and local on-air hosting. 

Her interest in current events and government led her to earn a graduate degree in Public Policy at the University of Utah. She later attended law school at UC Davis with a special interest in Tribal Courts and Federal Indian law. Her past work experience has been in nonprofit outreach, communications, and fundraising as well as public policy research.
